What a full on weekend (March 7th & 8th) it was for our Level 7-9 coach BJ who attended three sessions of competitions over the two days with our Senior Girls at the Jet’s “Learn to Fly” Invitational.
On Saturday afternoon the Level 9 Division 1 girls strutted their stuff at the competition. Veda back from an ankle injury was able to compete on Bars, Beam and Floor and showed us that keeping up your training even whilst injury pays off. Emily’s Floor routine was her best so far this year and all her hard work in training is worth it. Jessica Beam routine was great and gave her a bronze medal for her effort.
On Sunday there were back to back sessions, starting with the Level 9 Division 2 girls, Anneliese and Sienna. Both of these girls performed well with their best apparatus being Beam which both winning a bronze medal in their age groups. Next were the Level 7 Division 1 girls, Annie, Jasmine and Lucy. Beam was once again one of our strongest apparatus, with Jasmine having a solid routine to take out the Bronze medal and Lucy coming in a close 4th place. Annie landed her back handspring on Beam for the first time in competition and that is such an achievement. Lucy wowed everyone with the best vault of the competition taking out the Gold medal.
Once again an overall great effort from the senior girls.
