Next Stop For The PIT Girls: Waverley Classic
The Waverley Junior Classic Invitational began on Thursday morning, with our Level 6's first up for the PIT Girls. Despite some nerves leading up to the event, the Level 6's were determined to compete their best routines yet! Starting on Vault, Hannah managed to compete a dynamic and powerful handspring, earning her 3rd place! Moving to Bars, Anja successfully competed both her glide kip and long kip – showing big improvements since the beginning of the competition season. Despite some nerves on Beam, the girls showed some awesome team spirit, bringing them through to Floor with enthusiasm. On Floor, Kyra competed her best tumble lines of the season, showing off her round-off flip with confidence and poise. The girls have come such a long way since the beginning of the year, and are continually improving. The team placed 6th Overall on the day!
Next up on Thursday evening, the Level 5's were eager to get in the gym and show off their routines! The girls had an excellent start to the competition on Vault, all girls determined to compete tight and powerful handsprings. Special mention to Mikayla – who performed her best Vault of the season! Next up on Bars, Lucy wowed the judges with her dynamic swings and tight routine. Following on to Beam, Jasmine performed with elegance while Nicola showed off a beautiful handstand and cartwheel, and achieved a personal best score of the season! And finally on Floor, Chloe competed powerful tumble lines and beautiful leaps – also leading her to achieve a personal best score! The girls placed 2nd Overall as a team, despite some extremely tough competition. Well done girls!
The PIT girls continued to shine throughout the Waverley Invitational, as the remaining Level 2-7s competed over the course of the weekend.
