This past weekend our Level 3 gymnasts competed in the final competition of the year, the Victorian Championships! The girls were extremely excited for their last ever Level 3 competition and had all been working extremely hard in the gym to perfect these routines.
First up on Saturday afternoon was the team of Olivia, Alice, Alex and Inessa in the 9 and Under Division.
The girls wowed the judges with huge vaults and clean solid beam routines.
During the first week of school holidays in September 2019 PIT participated in the National Clubs Carnival held up on the Gold Coast. It was a great week away from the stagnant Melbourne weather and a great experience for the gymnasts and their families to travel interstate for competition.
The week itself was action packed with PIT teams busy competing at the venue or busy riding the roller coasters at the theme parks. A personal highlight for the trip for me (aside from the gymnastics of course!) was h...

They all arrived with big smiles on their faces and approached every routine with positivity! The girls had less nerves than they did at the Balance competition which enabled both of the Teams to place 1st and 2nd Overall!!!
These girls have been working extremely hard on their routines and are going to keep up the amazing work and positive energy to keep progressing well through their gymnastics career.
It was a cold Sunday afternoon when our 2 ALP 6 Division 1 girls arrived at BTYC to compete in Session 1 of 2 Sessions for the Trans Bass Trial.
Both Jas and Lucy put 100% into every routine they performed despite any challenges they faced throughout the competition. It was a nervous start on Beam, with the girls feeling the weight of the competition on their shoulders, but the girls managed to pull through 2 solid Beam routines with no falls. They then continued to shine with great confidence and beauti...

PIT Gymnastics is excited to officially unveil a fresh new look!
As this is our 40th anniversary, it’s a great opportunity for the club to update the PIT Gymnastics logo and philosophy to a more contemporary look as we head into our 5th decade of operation. It’s been an incredible journey which all started with John Dorrington in a tiny auxiliary gym at Phillip Institute of Technology (PIT) in 1979, now formally known as RMIT in Bundoora.
This re-vamp for the club will build and expand on the existing bra...
It is a great achievement for our very own Level 7 gymnasts Sarki, Newman and Thomas to have been selected to represent their state at the 2019 Australian Gymnastics Championships. For these three young men it was their very first time competing at Nationals and an experience that they will never forget.
Pressure was on right from the start for the Level 7 opens on day 1 of competition for the Team Event. Floor was the first apparatus and all the boys on team Vic showed nerves of steel as they stuck mo...
